Pursuant to Part 9 of the Council Governance Policy and Part 3 of the Council Governance Procedures Council is providing membership with 45 days from the date of this Notice to provide responses/feedback on the proposed amendments.
Governance Policy:
9.2 Council must give a notice in the Squamish Nation community at least forty-five (45) days prior to a Resolution to amend the Policy and include the particulars of the proposed amendments.
9.3 Council must collect responses from Squamish Nation members who are in favour or opposed to the amendment and read those responses into the record on the day of the Resolution.
Governance Procedures:
3.2 Council must give a notice in the Squamish Nation community at least 45 days prior to a Resolution to amend the Procedures and include the particulars of the proposed amendments.
3.3 Council must collect responses from Squamish Nation members who are in favour or opposed to the amendment and read those responses into the record on the day of the Resolution.
Response and feedback are only open to Squamish People and must be submitted in one of two ways:
- By email to cco@squamish.net
OR - In written form addressed to the Chair & Council Office, 320 Seymour Boulevard, North Vancouver, BC, V7J 2J3.
Responses must include your name and your Nation number with your submission. Only responses/feedback related to the proposed amendments in the Notice will be read into the record.
