Squamish Valley Community Plan

We are taking the first steps to build a Squamish Valley Community Plan to advance growth and sustainability in the Squamish Valley. The Community Plan will be built on a shared understanding of the needs, interests, and priorities of our Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Valley People now, and in the future. It will be community-centred and community-owned.

GET READY. We are beginning a new project to create a community plan for the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Valley.

GET INFORMED. The new plan will carry forward our Generational Plan into the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Valley and create a 10-year plan for the area.

GET INVOLVED. We will be organizing Family group meetings in the New Year to:

• Introduce Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Valley People to the project.
• Set up a Community Advisory Group to provide advice and guidance as the plan is developed over the next two years.
• Share what we’ve heard from Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Valley People over the years about what’s important to them, and make we sure we heard it right.

We are currently setting up family group meetings and establishing a Community Advisory Group as part of extensive consultation with our People.
