Our primary focus is on the well-being of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh children and youth who have entered care. We collaborate closely with families to ensure that children maintain their connections to their family, culture, and community. This approach promotes healthy relationships and a deeper understanding of our culture.
The vision of Guardianship Services is to further decrease the number of children in care by dedicating ourselves to creating individualized lifelong plans for each child, with a strong emphasis on reunification with family, extended family, and the community.

To the Squamish People, The Squamish Nation Council is pleased to announce approval for a special payment, again this year, ahead of the holidays.
2024 Office Holiday Closure
Squamish Nation offices will be closed for the holidays starting on Friday, December 20, 2024 and they will re-open on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Regular programs and services may not be running, but there are still many supports available to Members in need. Please reach out if you need support.
