2024 Office Holiday Closure

Squamish Nation offices will be closed for the holidays starting on Friday, December 20, 2024 and they will re-open on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Regular programs and services may not be running, but there are still many supports available to Members in need. Please reach out if you need support.

The Our Children Our Way Society is applauding the latest ruling from the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal (CHRT) which reinforces the obligation of the Government of Canada to eliminate its systemic discrimination against First Nations children.

With a recent increase in violent incidents among young people in our communities, we are facing difficult and challenging times. These violent incidents have far-reaching consequences for all of us. To keep our communities and our young people safe, it is important to address these incidents and related safety concerns immediately. The safety of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People is our top priority, and we take the allegations of criminal and violent behaviour seriously.
