On Saturday, Nov. 2 a special event is planned for the unveiling of Úxwumixw 2050. The event is an opportunity to share and celebrate Úxwumixw 2050: Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Generational Plan.
Úxwumixw 2050 is a plan to enable the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw to build a roadmap to sustainability, self-sufficiency and improved governance capacity. The Generational Plan was many years in the making, honouring and building on the Nation’s past and present planning efforts and includes years of community outreach. The plan was completed earlier this year and has been approved by Council. The community event celebrates this visionary generational plan that provides a first look at a completely Sḵwx̱wú7mesh-planned future spanning 25 years. Úxwumixw 2050 is to be our future, our nation and our plan.
